Distributions from the Fund are to help a congregational family with basic needs - food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare, insurance or tools necessary to maintain or gain employment (auto expense, travel, computer, etc) during a crisis (family or otherwise) – not for Temple expenses.
Donations, though acknowledged to the donor, will be listed publicly as Anonymous, as the Fund is intended to be guided by the principal that “The second highest level of the eight rungs on the ladder of charity is where both the giver and receiver maintain anonymity.”
