Our TWA Opening Event will feature a special performance by Honey Bell-Bey, the 2020 Poet Laureate of Cuyahoga County, who is renowned as a brilliant motivational poet, published author, community advocate, and experienced trainer in the fields of substance abuse and youth work among others. Ms. Bell-Bey founded several performance groups take young people off the streets of East Cleveland and give them poetry as a way of expressing emotional trauma instead of through violence.
We’ll begin with a light nosh followed by performances by Ms. Bell-Bey and her young women’s group, The Elegant Ladies of Poetic Thought.
